Welcome to the Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills (BEFH)! Our mission is to empower and uplift Black entrepreneurs and socially disadvantaged businesses through community, resources, and strategic support. We believe in unity and collective action to bridge the racial wealth gap and foster economic equity in the Flint Hills and beyond.

As a BEFH volunteer, you'll be part of a dedicated team creating lasting change. Whether it’s planning our community events, helping secure vital funds, advocating for fair policies, or recruiting and mentoring fellow members, your contributions will drive the impact we’re making together.

Qualifications & Training

  • Must be 14+ years of age

  • Must attend necessary training sessions (scheduled regularly throughout the year)

Process to Volunteer

  • Fill out our volunteer form and our community and programs coordinator will reach out to you.

  • Attend a general orientation and specialized training sessions

  • Get scheduled & volunteer

About BEFH

The Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurial empowerment. We serve over 100 businesses in Riley, Geary, and Pottawatomie counties in Kansas. Through culturally responsive growth-focused programs, business consulting, technical assistance, and community-building events, we aim to create generational wealth, economic equality, and increased opportunities for Black entrepreneurs.
