Our mission is to narrow the racial wealth gap by engaging, empowering, and equipping black, socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs to build sustainable enterprises and generational wealth through culturally competent business training, resources, technical assistance, and access to capital.

Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills (BEFH) - Membership Requirements

Membership Requirements:

1. Event Participation:

- Members must attend at least two BEFH events per year. These events may include workshops, networking events, seminars, or other gatherings organized by BEFH.

- Active participation in events is encouraged to foster community engagement and personal growth.

2. Membership Meetings:

- Attend regular membership meetings to stay informed about organizational updates, upcoming events, and opportunities.

3. Community Engagement:

- Engage in community outreach and support other members. This includes participating in mentorship programs, volunteering for BEFH initiatives, or contributing to community projects.

4. Professional Development:

- Continuously seek personal and professional development through BEFH resources, workshops, and training programs.

5. Financial Commitment:

- Pay any applicable membership dues in a timely manner to support the operational costs of BEFH.

6. Ethical Business Practices:

- Adhere to ethical business practices and uphold the values of integrity, respect, and professionalism in all business dealings.

  • As a paid member you will be added to our exclusive email list for opportunities plus referrals for your business.

  • As a paid member, you will receive an upgraded listing on our online directory with a photo, bio, links to the website, and social media. Plus your business will be included in our print directory that will be distributed in various community and university drop-off locations.

  • Members have access to three therapy/mental health sessions with an approved BEFH licensed mental health professional.

  • BEFH members will have priority for BEFH-sponsored vendor events and learn about exclusive vendor events in the region.

  • Be the first to know about funding, opportunities including grants,, pitch competitions, loans and business training .

  • Paid members will have access to social media, marketing, and press opportunities to have their businesses featured.

  • Paid BEFH members will have access to member-only events including group coaching and in-person training and networking events.

  • Members have access to 1-free marketing and business coaching session.

  • Each year we host a member headshot event where you receive a high quality headshot worth $100 for your business.

  • - Access to culturally responsive business resources.

    - Opportunities for networking and collaboration with like-minded entrepreneurs.

    - Access to capital and financial resources to support business growth.

    - Educational workshops and seminars tailored to the needs of black and economically disadvantaged businesses.

    - A platform to voice concerns and influence policies affecting black and underestimated businesses in the Flint Hills region.

    - Strong advocacy for your business through our various state wide, region and national partnerships and memberships.
