Welcome to the Black Joy Mental Wellness Program
We understand that mental wellness is a vital part of overall well-being, especially in navigating the unique experiences and systemic challenges faced by people of color. Our program is designed to empower you to take control of your wellness journey—cultivating emotional balance, resilience, and clarity to overcome mindset barriers and thrive in business and life.
We are dedicated to advancing mental and emotional well-being while addressing the impact of the racial wealth gap on access to wellness resources. Through our partnership with the Kansas Health Foundation and the Butler Family Community Foundation, we are working to bridge this gap by supporting entrepreneurs with tools that nourish the whole self.
At the Black Joy Wellness Program, we are here to support your path toward greater clarity, joy, and alignment. We believe that access to quality wellness resources is essential, and we are committed to making them available and culturally relevant for you.

Black Joy is Healing Panel Discussion & Brunch
The racial wealth gap has a clear and direct impact on health and the wealth position a child is born into will shape opportunity, outcomes and health throughout life. The racial wealth gap is also part of the reason the COVID-19 pandemic drove down life expectancy for Black and Latinx people in the United States, even more than for those who are White. The everyday stress of living paycheck to paycheck without the benefit of a nest egg to buffer against an unexpected event. Adding to this stress is the psychological burden of race-related stressors tied to every transaction for Black people. Entrepreneurship is a clear pathway for Black Americans to increase generational wealth. Through our partnership with Kansas Health Foundation and the Butler Family Foundation, we will gain financial resources needed to do the important work to narrow the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurship while positively impacting better health outcomes for black entrepreneurs. Thank you to our key sponsors for this event, Kansas Health Foundation, Kansas African American Affairs Commission and Kansas Black Leadership Council.
