Name one accomplishment in your business this far that you are proud of.

“My business has been able to expand the types of services offered.”

Since receiving the Circle of Community Grant how have the grant funds assisted you in your business growth?

“I have been able to expand office space, hence increasing capacity to offer more services, I have been able to take additional trainings to better support the clients served. ”

How has BEFH supported you in your entrepreneurial journey thus far?

“Providing information I did not have access to before, clarifying roles and areas of improvement within my business practices. I now have a business plan”

Describe the importance of having a business community like BEFH.
“It is helpful when you have someone that looks like you supporting you and that has been important as often times as a black business owner, we are not always taken seriously or supported or provided information even when asking. Here with BEFH, I have been able to gain a better understanding of business practices that is helping relaunch my practice in a much healthier position.”

Please describe a BEFH event that has helped you in your business? (ie. networking opportunities, training, class, event, coaching session, learning something you didn't know, a feeling of community or safe space etc.)

“Commerce Uplift- As a result of being a part of the first cohort, I completed my business plan, I am working on being a certified minority business in Kansas, I was able to pitch my business and won 1st place which aided me in expanding services and space for my practice.”

Has BEFH referred business to you this year? If so, please mention some of those opportunities that BEFH has provided thus far.

“BEFH has provided me with invaluable opportunities throughout the year, contracting my production company to document most of their events and collaborate on projects that showcase their members. These opportunities have been incredibly rewarding, not only for the financial support they bring but also for the knowledge and insights I gain from participating in their events. It’s a truly symbiotic relationship. While my production services help amplify the organization’s impact and tell their story, the work also helps my business grow through exposure, networking, and meaningful connections. BEFH’s ongoing support has been instrumental in my journey, and I’m deeply grateful for the mutually beneficial partnership we’ve cultivated.”

“It was a blessing to my business. As a private practice owner, we are dependent a lot on insurance claims being processed in a timely manner, however it can take weeks to get funds. This grant helped offset costs that I may have otherwise would have to wait for.”
